Korrigan Lodge is located in Punta Uva, just south of Puerto Viejo, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. As a real jungle lodge should be, this recently built small family hotel is nestled in the tropical forest within the Manzanillo - Gandoca wildlife refuge, a few miles north of the border with Panama. This is an ideal place to fully appreciate the richness of nature with its lush vegetation and its abundance of animal life.

Take a walk through the Lodge's winding paths, home to so many differents birds, animals and flowers, or simply lounge on your porch, carried away by the sounds of the forest and the serenity of this preserved natural shrine, or perhaps you prefer to meditate under the canopy of the majestic century-old trees.

Only a few steps away from the Lodge, you'll find the white sand beaches of Punta Uva, some of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. This is where the jungle ends and the palm trees border crystal clear waters, home to an impressive coral reef perfect for snorkeling.

At Korrigan Lodge you'll find four Bungalows, designed with a harmonious mix of taste and simplicity. Thinking always of the guests' comfort, the design of this exotic haven affords the ideal space for relaxation amid the tropical forest.

The bungalows are architecturally designed in an octagonal shape, elevated from the ground and each with its own private porch with hammock. A screened door leads to the bedroom with its large windows and its designer bathroom is equipped with a hot water shower. All the beds come with high quality orthopedic mattresses and every bungalow is equipped with a mini-bar, safe, ceiling fan and hair dryer.

The southern Caribbean coast is a unique and culturally-diverse region of Costa Rica. The predominant Afro-Caribbean culture co-exists harmoniously with the preserved customs of the native Bribri and Cabecar indigenous people whose territories are more inland tucked away in the Talamanca Mountains.

The Jamaican roots are reflected in the architecture, the delicious coconut-based gastronomy, the dialect (a mix of Caribbean English and Spanish) and the live calypso and reggae rhythms drifting through the air of the charming villages of Cahuita, Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo.
