Playa Negra Guesthouse is a small sea side hotel located at Playa Negra, on the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, one kilometre north of the centre of the town of Cahuita.

Cahuita offers something for everyone including white and black sand beaches, easy access to nature, reggae bars, shopping and fine dining. Excellent French, Creole, Italian or local cuisine is available, all within a short walk from the hotel.

The hotel offers upscale accommodations consisting of two lovely, fully equipped Caribbean style cottages, three tastefully decorated guest rooms, swimming pool and pool house.

The cottages and rooms overlook lush, carefully maintained gardens. For nature lovers, the Cahuita National Park is only a ten minute walk and has hiking trails running adjacent to pristine white sand beaches.

All rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, ceiling fans,safety box and wireless internet connection. Spacious porches offer privacy and views of the lush, tropical gardens. Hair dryers and clothes irons are also available.

The spacious, brightly coloured Caribbean cottages are of wood construction; each one suitable for a family of 4 or 2 couples and consists of 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom, hot water and showers, and spacious porch. There is a double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in the other. The porch has comfortable, rattan furniture.

Two of the guest rooms are suitable for up to three people, furnished with one double and one single bed and are equipped with a wet bar.

The Atlantic coast offers unspoiled beaches, forested mountains, coconut palms and pineapple and banana plantations. The wild beauty of the area and cultural diversity make the Caribbean an alternative destination for those wishing to avoid the more touristy areas of the country.
