At the riverfront town of Sierpe, one of their boats will pick you up for the trip down the Sierpe River navigating through the mangrove canals then along the Drake Bay coastline to arrive at the lodge where the true adventure begins.

A rustic setting with miles of uninhabited beaches, scarlet macaws flying overhead, and the captivating beauty of the rainforest, will be the setting for your wilderness adventure. This is the perfect spot for deep sea fishing, birdwatching, scuba diving, snorkeling, and for experiencing the remarkable biodiversity of the Peninsula's tropical rainforest.

The Amayas offer great accommodations from cabins with private bath to ranchs and tents equipped with comfortable beds. The restaurant offers traditional Costa Rican food and drinks, and whenever you go fishing the Amayas will prepare your catch for dinner. All lodging rates include three meals a day.

No rocky climbs to your cabin, simply walk a few meters to the magnificent beach. The only passerbys will be a few locals walking down the beach with their fresh catch or school children taking a recess from the one room schoolhouse or a few local soccer fans on their way to the jungle immersed soccer field at the other end of the beach.

Breakfast offers a variety of fresh, local fruits and your choice of typical Costa Rican fare. Lunch can be in house or packed to take with you on one for the hikes to the rain forest. Dinners are always a special event; everyone gathers to share stories of the day while enjoying a plentiful and delicious meal. Afterwards, relax at the outdoor bar, enjoy a cocktail and a few sweet latin tunes.
