Suria Mountain Hotel is located just 1:45 hours from San José in San Gerardo de Dota, which is part of the Talamanca Central Mountain range.

The main characteristics of this cloud forest reserve is the great variety of plants, insects, amphibians, mammals and birds, including the beautiful and elusive Quetzal.

The hotel started operations in 2005, with the main goal of providing accommodations for birdwatchers to observe the more than 170 species of birds, breathe pure mountain air, and visit the waterfalls of the most clean rivers on Latin America including the Savegre River.

Suria is a family owned hotel, that offers you a warm and private stay, in rustic cabins surrounded by the forest and a beautifully well kept garden, regularly visited by colorful hummingbirds.

The hotel features 12 rooms, some with capacity for up to 4 persons; with private bathrooms, hot water, heaters, and shared terrace, offering you great views of the gardens and the forest nearby.

Suria Lodge features a welcoming and comfortable restaurant, with fireplace, where you could taste delicious typical dishes prepared with ingredients from local farms.
