The Palapa, the main building of this unique hotel, was designed as an area of homage to local ancestors and a symbolic expression of Costa Rican indigenous culture. Its' architectural design was based on the “Boruca” traditional ceremonial dwelling with its' circular shape and conic roof creating the idea of center projected energy towards the sky.
