DAY 1 - SAN JOSE -
Arrival in San Jose, pick up at airport and transfer to Hotel Villa Tournon;

DAY 2 - SAN JOSE / SAN GERARDO DE DOTA
Shortly after breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel for transfer to Trogon Lodge; located in San Gerardo de Dota, a small community in the Talamanca mountains in the midst of a precious ecosystem. There you will find a deep cloud forest filled with massive oaks and other native species. The highlands of the Talamanca Mountain range, are the oldest geological formation in Costa Rica. The Rio Macho Forest Reserve is Costa Rica's largest protected area, composed of 13 different units for a total of over 200,000 acres. This area is home to an immense variety of flora, and an ecological niche in which the quetzal (holy bird of the Mayan culture) may be seen year-round. ** Accommodations in Standard Room (B, L, D).

DAY 3 – SAN GERARDO DE DOTA
Early morning Birdwatching tour: San Gerardo de Dota is a place that offers superlative birding with a bird list with more than 170 species and some that are endemic to the zone. Along the trails, you will be able to find the most elusive and hard-to-spot species, real trophies for birders who want to increase their life list. Mornings, just after dawn, are the best time for seeing most species. Overnight at Trogon Lodge (B, L, D).

DAY 4 – SAN GERARDO DE DOTA / DOMINICAL
After breakfast, you will be picked up for transfer to Dominical. Horseback riding to the famous Nauyaca Waterfalls, a perfect way to enjoy the afternoon. ** Accomodations in Junior Suite in Villas Rio Mar (B).

DAY 5 - OSA PENINSULA
Shortly after breakfast, you will be picked up at hotel for ground and boat transfer to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge in Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula to visit Corcovado National Park. Corcovado National Park is an undeniably beautiful place, considered to be one of the most important natural preserves in the Americas, this virgin rain forest park invites superlatives from all who visit. At least thirteen distinct vegetation types in close proximity, including mangroves, palm swamps and bloodweed forest make Corcovado a botanist's dream. Jaguars, giant anteaters, hundreds of white-lipped peccaries, tapers, and a host of rare rain forest animals inhabit the vast reaches surrounding the crocodile-filled lagoon at the park's center. The captivating visual beauty of its forest and of its coastline, with miles of uninhabited beaches and roaring cascades, draws visitors from all over the world. Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is a 170 acre private reserve, adjoining Corcovado National Park, providing the ideal base for exploring the rain forest, waterfalls, and miles of uninhabited beaches of the Osa Peninsula. The Lodge supplied with mountain spring water is surrounded by virgin rain forest and fruit trees which draws birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Enjoy beach combing on the Lodge's own half kilometer long sand beach and then refresh yourself under a waterfall or bathe in a shaded pool. Casa Corcovado offers individual deluxe thatched roof bungalows with private baths, and delicious home-cooked meals, allowing guests to enjoy the jungle in comfort. DAYS 6, 7 – CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK / CANO ISLAND BIOLOGICAL RESERVE
Full day guided tours to Corcovado National Park, recognized as one of the most "biological intense" places on earth and Caño Island Biological Reserve, only 10 miles from Drake but a world apart from the mainland. Indians once used the island as a burial ground, however little is known about the pre-Columbian artifacts found there. Take advantage of the Reserve's clear blue waters and snorkel the coral reefs. DAY 8 - SAN JOSE / ARENAL
Morning transfer to airport for return flight to San Jose, at the airport you will be met by our driver for drive to the Arenal Volcano. Enroute stop for lunch an tour of La Paz Waterfall Gardens. When you think about Costa Rica, you probably imagine lush tropical Rain Forests, flowing white rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies and flowers. At La Paz Waterfall Gardens, you will see all that and more. **Accomodation in Junior suite in Arenal Volcano Inn (B).

DAY 9 – ARENAL
Morning Canopy Tour to Ecoglide then afternoon free to explore on your own. Late afternoon / evening visit for a relaxing soak and dinner at the thermal waters of Tabacon Resort and Spa. Overnite at Arenal Volcano Inn (B, D)

DAY 10 – ARENAL / SAN JOSE
Morning tour to the Arenal Hanging Gardens and then afternoon transfer back to San Jose and Hotel Villa Tournon - ** Accommodations in standard Double room (B).

DAY 11 – RETURN HOME
Pick up at the hotel for transfer to the airport and return flight home, and the end to an unforgettable adventure!!! (B).
