GUANACASTE TOURS AND ACTIVITIES

Several sites are available in Guanacaste including Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park and Santa Rosa National Park, which features several kilometers of trail leading to Naranjo and Nancite beaches, where the Olive Ridley turtle nests. This turtle is responsible for the world-famous arribadas or mass nestings that sometimes occur between August and December.

  • Horseback riding
  • Boating: The only two marinas in the country are located in Guancaste; one is at Flamingo Beach and the other at Coco Beach. Boats can be rented at these locations and arrangements can be made through us.
  • Birding: Although there aren't several spots for bird watching in Guanacaste, the Guayabo, Negritos and los Pajaros Islands Biological Reserve is an important nesting ground for seabirds such as frigate birds, brown pelicans and brown boobies. Guayabo is an important winterin ground for peregrine falcons.
  • Sea kayaking: Seas on the pacific are very predictable during the dry season and the equipment can be rented on many hotels. Also we can arange an extended sea kayaking tour.
  • Surfing
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Spelunking: Experienced cavers have opportunities in the limestone caverns of Barra Honda National Park. Although specialized equipment is necessary, we can arrange a trip to one of the caverns with the park rangers.
