Camaronal Turtle Tour

Three of the seven species of sea turtles (Leatherback, Olive Ridley, and Black Hawksbill) all of which are declared endangered species nest in Playa Camaronal. The most common nesting records are for the olive ridley and a much smaller proportion of the leatherback and black hawksbill. It is important to note that the nesting behavior of the olive ridley on this refuge is solitary and not in big numbers as given in Ostional.
